New to Pilates? Recovering from injury? Need to cancel? Get the answers to our frequently asked questions.
I have a major injury, can I attend a class or a private session?
We always recommend booking a private consultation with Stef to determine how your body is currently working. You will have the full attention of the instructor and have each exercise tailored to suit your needs. We are always happy to collaborate with your team of health practitioners to create a personalised care and routine for you. Your movement and safety is our priority.
Can I do Pilates while pregnant?
Every pregnancy is different. We advise you to see your GP or primary care provider for guidance on if Pilates will work for you during your pregnancy. If yes, we of course will guide you safely through your workout and recommend classes that will best suit you.
What do I need to bring?
Just your sparkling personality, a water bottle, some socks and comfortable clothes to exercise in. If you have a favourite mat we’d love you to bring it, otherwise we have clean mats you can use during class. If you’re up for a challenge, feel free to bring an adjustable ankle/wrist weight. We recommend Bala Bangles, and stock them in the studio to purchase at any time!
What is the cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for all cancellation and changes to your private, studio sessions and group class bookings. This allows us to keep our commitment to small class sizes as well as allowing waitlisted clients the opportunity to take up a place in an otherwise full class
Can I transfer unused classes after the expiry period?
Sorry, no. Any class passes that haven’t been used up before the expiry date are unfortunately void. This keeps it fair for others, as well as a little extra motivation to get yourself to the studio
I'm new to Pilates, do you have beginners classes? Goes Here
We love the saying “you’ve got to be a beginner before you can be anything else.” We’re so glad you’re wanting to try Pilates! You’ll be happy to know we have beginners classes daily, simply book for a “Foundation” class on the MindBody app. Otherwise, if you’re feeling a little unsure, book a 1:1 Private Session with Stef for an introduction
What class is best for me?
Foundation: Beginner and beyond.
Reformer: I feel confident in my movement. I have used the Reformer before and am looking forward to being challenged and supported.
Burn Reformer: I’m looking for a cardio/athletic class. I feel strong and confident and want a little something spicy for my workout. I want to use the jumpboard!
Mat: I’m looking for something low impact but still want the ‘burn’ of a good workout.
Soleil Session: I have a body and I want to move. I like going at my own pace, I’m not fussed on classes. I love the Pilates equipment and have always wanted to try it!
Private 1:1: I have an injury and need rehabilitative assistance. OR I don’t have an injury but am excited to learn more about the Pilates method, try cool new stuff and have a bunch of fun. OR I’m self conscious about moving and I need help. OR I want time to myself- something special just for me because I give to everyone else all day and I just want some solo time.
Do you do private group classes for corporate or personal events?
Yes. There is a maximum of 3 for Reformer sessions and 4 for a Soleil Session.
What happens if the class I want to attend is full?
You can easily jump on our waitlist and we’ll let you know ASAP if a space becomes available.
What are the COVID safety protocols?
All stations have disinfectant spray (because sometimes one wipe doesn’t cut it) and paper towels. Our equipment is spaced 1.5m from the next. Studio equipment is cleaned immediately after use during a Studio session. Hand sanitiser is provided at the pigeon holes. Studio is cleaned daily.
I’m running late!
If you are more than 5 minutes late for a class, you may be required to forfeit the right to participate. It is for your own safety and out of respect to the other clients. Please let Stef know if you are thinking you may be late to your Private class and she may reschedule.
